How the calculation works

Below $15.00, Poshmark charges a flat $2.95 seller fee, no matter whether you're selling for $3 or $14.99.

At $15.00 and above, the fee switches to 20% of the sale price — the whole sale price, not just the amount above $15.

That switch creates a real dead zone right at the boundary: at $14.99 you pay $2.95 and keep $12.04; at $15.00 you pay $3.00 and keep only $12.00 — pricing exactly at $15.00 nets you 4 cents less than pricing one cent lower, and you need to price a bit higher than $15.00 before you're ahead of $14.99 again. This calculator flags it automatically if your price lands in that range.

Poshmark's optional Seller Shipping Discount is a cost you can choose to cover, not a marketplace fee — it belongs in your other costs, not in the fee breakdown.

A real example

Take an $80 sale (well above the $15 threshold), with a $25 item cost and $7 in seller-paid shipping. Here's what Poshmark actually takes and what you keep:

Frequently asked questions

Why does pricing at $15.00 net me less than $14.99?
Below $15.00 you pay a flat $2.95 no matter the price; at $15.00 the fee becomes 20% of the whole sale. $14.99 pays $2.95 ($12.04 net); $15.00 pays $3.00 ($12.00 net) — one extra cent of price costs you a bigger jump in fees. You'd need to price higher than $15.00 to actually come out ahead of $14.99.
Does the 20% apply to the whole price or just the amount over $15?
The whole price. At $15.00 and above, Poshmark's fee is 20% of the entire sale price, not 20% of just the amount above the $15 threshold.
Is the Seller Shipping Discount a Poshmark fee?
No — it's an optional cost you choose to absorb as the seller, so it belongs with your other costs, not the marketplace fee breakdown.
